He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Eleanor Barndt; his parents, Earl Barndt and Evelyn Price Barndt; his children, Maria, Miller, Christopher Frankenfield and Nathaniel Barndt; and his siblings, Gerald Barndt, Dale Barndt, Robert Barndt, Donald Barndt, Betty Fritz, Shirley Hartzell and Marjorie Mastromatto.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Barndt; his children, Rebecca Shults (Jason) and Robert Barndt (Vanessa); his stepchildren, Justin Spurgeon and Shala Cowan; his sister Linda Mirabella; his grandchildren, Joanna, Josh, Karlie, Garrett, Nathan, Faith, Juliesa and Kaylie; his great grandchildren, Sianna, Waylon, Caroline and Jakelee; and his nephews, Jimmy Fritz, Scott Barndt and Michael Krupp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rawlings Funeral Home (716 Eastgate Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Proffitt Cemetery.
