He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buin Sexton and Florence Alene Sexton; and his brothers, Charles Linden Sexton and David Sexton. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Mickels (Bill) and Tammy Otanic (Ronnie); his grandson Austin Parton (Kristen); and his niece Cheryl Finchum.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Berry Highland South Cemetery (9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
A generous spirit, Leonard helped neighbors and supported causes close to his heart, including donations to the Boys Club and St. Jude—acts of care that reflected a life lived with consideration for others.
