She was predeceased by : her daughters, Gloria Jean Greene and Mary Katherine McCarter; her parents, Arnold Seacrest and Julia Pearl Weaver; and her siblings, Mildred Bales, Mary Ruth White, Maimie Sprouse and William Seacrest.

She is survived by : her sons, Robert McCarter, Ivan McCarter and Sam McCarter; and her siblings, Joyce Powell, Laura Fritts and Pierce. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
