She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter "Red" Sands and Mattie Sands. She is survived by: her husband Rex McMahan; her daughter Trisha (Darrel Breeden); her grandchildren, Chris, Halia Pickens, Sterlyn Breeden, Shelby Sillinger, Travis and Destiney Pack; her great grandchildren, Bailey Long, Fallen Breeden, Nova Pickens, Aleyah Breeden, Penelope Breeden and Anakin Breeden; and her sisters, Zella Klinke (Johnny), Sheila Dyer, Alma Hensley, Violet Sands, Charlotte Sands and Glenda Sands. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the New Center Baptist Church (2669 Old Newport Hwy, Sevierville, TN 37876).
