It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Green of Sewanee, Tennessee, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Green and Sallie Jacobs Green; his grandson Christopher Colston; and his siblings, Herman, James Green, Martha Gilliam, Sarah McGregor, Mary Green, Barbara Byers and Katherine "Tootsie" Owenby.
He is survived by: his close friend Donna Green; his children, Debbie Colston, Eddie Green and Blade Green; his grandson Kyle Colston; his great grandchildren, Kyla Colston and Chanten Colston; and his siblings, John Green (Bonnie) and Susie Kilgore (Sam). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
