She was predeceased by: her parents, Egbert Ricketts and Christine Ricketts; her husbands, Jack Sutherland and Ansel Sharp; her sister Sylvia Barry; and her daughter-in-law Cathy Sutherland.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Sutherland, Ted Sutherland (Debbie) and Mark Sutherland; and her sisters, Jean Ricketts, Faye Ricketts and Peggy Green. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (207 Mabee Ave, Monteagle, TN 37356). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church - Midway (898 Midway Rd, Sewanee, TN 37375). A burial was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Eastern Star Cemetery.
