She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Clarence Galyon and Hazel Galyon; her husband Evan Claxton; and her brothers, A. C. Galyon and Lonnie Galyon.
She is survived by: her sister Liz Cogdill; her daughters, Freida Claxton Seivers (Michael), Delane Claxton Hardin and Kelly Claxton Thomas; and her grandchildren, Derek Floyd (Jessica), Lorin Sowers (Christopher), Rebecca Olsen (Shaun) and Brent Holder. She is also survived by Ten Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Berry Highland South Cemetery (9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920).
