It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Messer of Seymour, Tennessee, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bayne and Vera Bayne; her sons, Donald Ray Barnett and James Walter Barnett; her siblings, Rick Bayne and Barbara Thatcher (Perry); and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Stover, Steve Graves and Don Buckman.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Messer; her sons, Michael Messer and Mathue Messer; her siblings, Pam Jones (Steve) and Roger Bayne (Diane); her siblings-in-law, Betty Bayne, Pat Graves, Gail Buckman, Ed Nicolaisen, Eric Nicolaisen (Cris Anne) and Kim Nicolaisen; and her nieces, Shannen Jones and Lori Shepard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Streamwood (1640 S Green Meadows Blvd, Streamwood, IL 60107). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home (1640 S Green Meadows Blvd, Streamwood, IL 60107). A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at the Lakewood Memorial Park (30W730 US-20, Elgin, IL 60120).
