It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna Jo McGowan of Shelbyville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Harbin and Ethel Mae Nix Harbin; her husband Thomas "Tom" McGowan; and her siblings, Joan Harbin Otis and James Royce Harbin.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Bennett (Kathy) of Murfreesboro, Dianne B. Cook of Shelbyville and Cheryl Colvin of Peoria, Illinois; her sister-in-law Beryl Ann Harbin of Lyles, TN.; and her grandchildren, Miranda Michelle Bomar, Leslie Richard Bennett and Leslie Randall McConnell. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Fellowship For Christ Church.
