He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Melton; his grandchildren, Sydney Melton (Kain White-Conley) and Reed Melton (Julie); and his great grandchildren, Kai White Conley, Kato White-Conley and Blakly Melton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Feldhaus-Gowen-Smith Chapel (850 Union St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lebanon Laurel Hill Cemetery.
