“Dear Patty, Ernie, Jennifer and family, words cannot express how sad I am at Ernie's passing. We all know that cancer is a god awful ugly disease and wish that there was a cure for all forms. From my earliest memories, Ernie gave us many moments of hilarity and laughter, but none more than when he took Uncle George Brown's derby hat, donned it, took his cigar and started smoking it, all at the tender age of three. He was ornery and funny and he was loved and he will be missed.”
