He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank William Wayne Prater and Mary Frances Bain; his stepfather Henry B. Bain; and his siblings, Steve Henry Bain and Lisa Kay Prater.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Prater (Dunn); his children, Timothy Farliss (Bethany), Rhonda Wilhoite (Mark), David Stacey (Marlena) and Maranda Ray (Jason); his sister Mary Ruth Woods; and his grandchildren, Lathan Farliss, Katie Farliss, Kayla Farliss, Aiden Speegle, Evan Wilhoite, Jason Ray, Zachary Ray, Ashlin Ray, Malachi Ray, Isaac Ray, Makyla Stacey, Stephanie Stacey, Kristen Stacey and David "BooBoo" Stacey. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
