He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gregory of Tennessee and Flossie Irene Stephenson Gregory; his wife Mary Joyce Gregory; his siblings, Doris Ray, Marie May, Frank Gregory, Cathy Troxler, James Robert Gregory (Patsy) and Frances Melson; and his pet Sassy.

He is survived by : his daughters, Regina Stewart (Mike) of Shelbyville, Sharon Das (Shounak) and Angelia Polasky (David) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Erica Freebury (James), Erin Gannaway (Stephen), Gabrielle Womble, Emma Womble, Daniel Das, Joshua Womble, Eli Das, Amelia Womble, Josiah Womble and Joseph Womble; his siblings, Joann Ashby (Edward), Roger Gregory (Sherry) and Becky Mcbee (Allen); and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Gregory and Bert Troxler. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
