He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Hampton and Leola Sims Hampton; his siblings, Larry Hampton, Zelma Hampton, Rosie Lee Coope and Margaret Hampton Bean; and his nephews, Calvin "Duke" Hampton and Michael DeJaun Hampton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Arlene Smith (AW), Wayne Hampton, Donald Hampton (Pam) and Earnest Hampton (Bernice); his nephews, Stephen Anton Bowen and Antonio "Tonto" Cooper; and his friend James "Speck" Johnson.
