He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander D. Smith and Edna Gaskins Smith; and his siblings, Jimmy Wade Smith and Annette Welker of North Carolina. He is survived by: his sons, Ray Smith (JoAnn) of Shelbyville and Jonathan Smith of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Cory Smith, Chase Smith, Zander Smith, Isabella Smith and Gabriel Smith; and his great grandchildren, Delaney Smith and Brant Smith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Doak-Howell Funeral Home (739 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
