He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnie Gene and Estela Landin Claxton; and his brother Kenneth "Flash" Claxton. He is survived by: his son John Tyler Claxton (Jennifer) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Bently, Ava and Onyx; his sister Elizabeth Rhodes (Rob); his nephew Donnie Claxton (Maleah); and his niece Tiffany Claxton of Shelbyville.
