She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Mills and Flossie Mills; her husband Billy Hicks; and her siblings, Doris Chesnutt, John and George Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Dr Carol Broadway (Ricky) and Jeff Hicks (Kim); her grandchildren, Taylor Hicks (Mindi), Andrew Broadway (Paige) and Courtney Hicks; her great grandchildren, Kase, Kole Hicks, Everette and Ellis Broadway; her sibling's children, Jane Griffin, Cindy Freeman, Jimmy, Charlie and Andy Chesnutt; and her grandchildren-in-law, Kynsey Flynn (Chris), AJ Warren and Jeremy (Autumn). She is also survived by her family, many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Doak-Howell Funeral Home (739 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
