He was predeceased by : his wife Betty Joyce; and his daughter Carolyn Jeanette. He is survived by : his son Clayton Charles Payne Jr.; his godson Jonathan James; his grandchildren, Joy Payne, Kisha Payne, Kelley Payne and Joshua Payne Warnack; his great grandchildren, Jada Spangler, Cheyenne Warnack, Brooklyn Phillips, Gabby Larkin, Trevor, Hunter Warnack, Connor and Mason Phillips; and his siblings, Sharon Wood, Jean Guess, Jesse Payne and James Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
