He was predeceased by: his parents, E. J. Taylor and Edna Massey Taylor; and his brother Kenneth Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Billie Wootton Taylor of Smithville; his daughter Nicole Taylor (Sam Meredith) of Smithville; his grandchildren, Skylar Alanis and Daniel Meredith; his siblings, Betty Cooper of Smithville, Doris Malone (Wayne) of Dowelltown and Bobby Taylor of Smithville; and his close friends, Fay Gilreath and Allen England. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
