He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Jones and Jewell Adcock Jones; his wife Geneva Jones; and his sister Bettie Frantz. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Jones (Michelle) of Smithville and Brenda Bandy (Kevin) of Dowelltown; his grandchildren, Zachary Bandy (Brooke), Dawson Bandy, Kaitlynn Kent (Tyler) and Trey Jones; his great grandchildren, Addyson Gray Kent, Tanner Kate Kent, Morgan Jay Kent and Colsen Lee Bandy; and his sister Beverly Garrett (Ray) of Battle Creek, MI..

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the DeKalb Memorial Gardens (2700 McMinnville Hwy, Smithville, TN 37166).
