We bid farewell to Clydie Euguen Carter of Smithville, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 19, 2025 at the age of 83. Clydie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clydie Burnice and Mary Amy Sandlin Carter; and his sisters, Margie Carter and Frances Whitehead. He is survived by: his wife Joye Fay Carter of Smithville; his children, Jeff Carter (Lorianna) of Smithville, Steven Carter (Lindi) of Smithville and Serita Bratcher (Anthony) of Morrison; his grandchildren, Jennifer Dunn (Brian), Jeffery Carter (Amanda), Jason Bratcher, Daniel Bratcher (Becky), Benjamin Bratcher (Deanna), Chance Carter, Jessamyn Nowlin (James), Perry Hahn (Brad) and Caleb Anderson; and his niece Sharon Yocum (Ricky) of Sparta.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home (100 E Church St, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
