He is survived by: his wife Deanna Cantrell Counts of Smithville; his children, Patrick Counts of Nashville, Jordan Gash (Erika) of Shelbyville and Rachel Russell (Kieran) of Texas; his grandchildren, Jiraiya Russell, Torryn Gash and Spencer Gash; and his brother Edward Franklin Counts III of Bellevue.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home (100 E Church St, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
