She was predeceased by: her husband James Donnell; her parents, A. C.'Buster' Vanderpool and Carrie Braswell Vanderpool; her stepmother Ruby Vanderpool; her brother Alfred; her sister-in-law Colleen Vanderpool; her sister Ruby; her brother-in-law Jack Medley; and her nephews, Bruce Medley and David Medley.
She is survived by: her daughter Jayma Donnell of Hermitage; her nephew Ricky (Siggi Medley); her nieces, JoDoris (Jeff Wortman), Judy Fox of Celina and Brenda Carter of Augusta, GA.; her cousins, Frankie Hagan of Greeneville and Elaine Alexander of Brentwood; her nieces-in-law, Susan Medley of Smithville, TN. and Annette Medley Young of Smithville, TN.; and her caregiver Emily Greathouse of Smithville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home (100 E Church St, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Whorton Springs Cemetery (2976 McMinnville Hwy, Smithville, TN 37166).
In addition to flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Donnell to St. Jude.
