He was predeceased by: his father T. M. Hooper; and his former wife Brenda Smith Hooper. He is survived by: his mother Juanita Hooper of Smithville, Tennessee.; his wife Jackie Hooper; his sons, Dr. Daniel Douglas Hooper (Bryant Ransom) of Nashville and Dr. Justin Davis Hooper (Martha Hooper) of Smithville; his grandchildren, Aiden Rhett, Emmett Turner, Owen Thomas and Landon Reed; his sister Janet Eldridge (Mike) of Cookeville; and his granddaughter Nora Ruth Hooper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Dr. Doug Hooper to Lighthouse Christian Camp, the First Baptist Church Youth Fund, or the American Cancer Society.
