Gene Cook Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Cook of Smithville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Cook and Callie Murphy Cook; his wife Dean Cook; and his sisters, Murphy Ann Miller and Jo Dean Dutton.

He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Cook (Debbie) of Piney Flatts, Cathy Snow (Dwain) of Smithville and Tina Gash (David) of Smithville; his grandchildren, Jacob Cook (Katie), Johnathan Cook (Kari), Jay Cook (Victoria), Eric Snow (Cindy), Andy Snow (Laura), Caleb Gash (Makenzy) and Callie Cantrell (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Paxton, Clara, Emery, Levi, Topher, Trey, Brody, Addy, Ansley, Allie, Callie, Oliver, Ruby, Eleanor and Britton; and his siblings, Rose Davis of Liberty, Beatrice Laperouse of Arizona, Wilma Mykyleby (Bob) of Smithville, Eddie Cook of Smithville, Jim Cook (Helen) of Liberty and Doug Cook (Janie) of Smithville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Gene.
