It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Goldie A. Pollard of Smithville, Tennessee, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Taylor and Nancy Elizabeth Taylor; her former husband Monroe Driver; her husband Verble Eugene Pollard; her granddaughter Rebecca "Becky" Pollard Womack; and her siblings, Emmie Rebecca Taylor Knowles, William Barney Taylor, Jimmie Greston Taylor, Wilma Catherine Taylor Poss, John Mason Taylor, Lillie Mai Taylor Young, Edward Taylor and Dorothy Lee Taylor Luna.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Pollard, Cynthia Pollard, Ronnie Pollard (Darlene), Oleta Bratcher, Kelly Pollard, Doris Cantrell (Steve), Curtis Pollard (Ellen) and Kathy Ashford; and her grandchildren, Ronica Evans (Brad), Jason Pollard, Jamie Pollard, Kim Crabtree (Cory), Shannon Pollard, Jessica Black (Robbie), Eric Pollard, Twain Bratcher (Cheara), Retta Lackey, Tawaina Keel (Kevin), Nathane Bratcher, Kasha Davis (Jonathan), Carl Bratcher, Natonda Mims (Shane), Crissy Pollard, Donald Pollard (Tera), Missy Vanatta (Kevin), Tricia Pollard Brown, Eddie Ashford (Kaylen), John Ashford, Amy Hotchkiss (Jason) and Emily Knowles. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 8:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home (100 E Church St, Smithville, TN 37166). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Young Bend Cemetery.
