He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Peggy Ann Young Maples; and his sisters, Mary Pauline Wilson and Jamye Sue Atnip. He is survived by: his children, Whitney Thomas (Devin) of Smithville and Robert Heath Maples of Smithville; his grandchildren, Rylan Brock Thomas and Maddox Kase Thomas; and his sister LouAnn Midgett (Jimmy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
