It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Gunter (Smithville, Tennessee), who passed away on June 8, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Howard Gunter; her son Phillip Gunter; and her brothers, Clarence Phillips, Jr and Bill Phillips. She is survived by : her children, Dan Gunter of Lakeland, FL and Sharon Rader (Harold) of Smithville; her grandchildren, Danielle Gunter (Stig Thomsen), Monica (Chris Dickens), Leah (Eric Orsbon), Matt (Thi Gunter) and Alex Rader; her great grandchildren, Brice Dickens, Drew Dickens, Auden Thomsen and Ben Thomsen; her sisters, Jane Eller of McMinnville, Mary Cantrell Lawson of McMinnville and Faye Walker Campbell (Don) of McMinnville; her sister-in-law Fredia Phillips of Smithville; and also Lynda Gunter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Phillip Gunter Endowment at Valdosta State University, and those donations can be made at the funeral home.
