He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Young and Edith Evans Young; his wife Faye Sandlin Young; his son Timothy Young; and his siblings, Elizabeth Mahler, Izena Griffin, Sue Guy and Grady Young.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Karen Young of Smithville; his sister Peggy Blankenship (Gary); his grandson Jessie Anderson (Megan); his great grandchildren, Dylan Anderson (Shanelle) and Lane Anderson; his sisters-in-law, Linda Young and Geneva Taylor (Tommy); and his niece Rita Houk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, in memory of Mr. Thomas.
