He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis and Elma Louise Womack Cantrell; and his sister Nina Moore. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cantrell of Smithville; his children, Jamie Cantrell (Andrew) of Smithville, Lisa Prater (Dustin) of Smithville and Teresa Cantrell Atnip of Smithville; his grandchildren, Sarah Torres (Ricardo), Hannah Moore (Nathan), Isaac Cantrell, Lauren Thompson (Kyle), Maddie Prater, Zachary Atnip and Peyton Atnip; his great grandchildren, R. J. Torres, Javi Torres, Toby Moore, Henry Moore, Tobin Thompson, Keagan Thompson, Kade Thompson and Kolten Thompson; and his brother Stanley Cantrell (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
