He was predeceased by: his father Frank; and his brothers, Kermit Mullins of Hi Hat, KY, Danny Mullins of Richmond, KY and Ronald Mullins of Winchester, KY.. He is survived by: his wife Kay F. Mullins (Kidd); his sisters, Jettie Howser of Berea, KY, Delores Delong (Ron) of Fort Wayne, IN and Joyce Mullins of Berea, KY; and his children, Tanya J. Rodgers (Richie) of Summerville, SC and Chad E. Mullins (Cyndi) of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lawrence Gardner Fund at Highland Heights Church of Christ, at 785 S. Lowry St., Smyrna, TN 37167, or Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center, at 110 Conn Terrace Lexington, KY 40508.
