He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin Gentry and Elvena Gentry; his siblings, Bubba Gentry and Dean Gentry; his nephews, David Gentry and Wayne Deskins; and his grandparents, Leighman and Hassie Todd.

He is survived by: his children, Lindsey Fuhrer (Dale), Hunter Pate and Brian Gentry; his grandchildren, Bentley Fuhrer, Holland Gentry and Lakelyn Gentry; his siblings, Bobby Teaney, Gary Teaney, Donna Hill (Tim), Sam Gentry (Syndee), Ricky Gentry, Pam Gentry and Patricia Poteete (Brice); his nieces and nephews, Bucky McMurty, Jeffrey, Hannah Gentry, Kristi and Alvin Deskins; and his pet Harley.
