It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clay Gentry of Smyrna, Tennessee, who passed away on October 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Clay Gentry to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin Gentry and Elvena Gentry; his siblings, Bubba Gentry and Dean Gentry; his nephews, David Gentry and Wayne Deskins; and his grandparents, Leighman and Hassie Todd.
He is survived by: his children, Lindsey Fuhrer (Dale), Hunter Pate and Brian Gentry; his grandchildren, Bentley Fuhrer, Holland Gentry and Lakelyn Gentry; his siblings, Bobby Teaney, Gary Teaney, Donna Hill (Tim), Sam Gentry (Syndee), Ricky Gentry, Pam Gentry and Patricia Poteete (Brice); his siblings' children, Bucky McMurty, Jeffrey, Hannah Gentry, Kristi and Alvin Deskins; and his pet Harley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
