In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Hubert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Hubert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Prater and Annie May Prater; his wife Willie Gertrude Manus Prater; and his daughter-in-law Linda Prater. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Ray Prater of Smyrna; and his grandchildren, Pamela Nickens of Ashland City, Jamie Green (Matt) of Murfreesboro and Jason Prater (Mary Jo) of Smyrna. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190).
