He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry O. Jacobs and Dorothy Ann Johns Jacobs. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Raymer Jacobs; his children, Jodie Choate (Jason), Jeanne Jacobs (Michael Peach), Jessica McKee (Ryan), Seth Parks and Emma Parks (Cayla Knight); his aunts, Patsy Hillard and Frieda "Sis" Eades; his grandchildren, Makenna Choate, Corbin McKee and Wyatt McKee; and his sisters-in-law, Sherrie Smith (John) and Cathy Raymer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Parkway Baptist Church (1715 Lee Victory Pkwy, Smyrna, TN 37167). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (5350 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either of two organizations dear to Joey: St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Joey "Lighthouse" Jacobs or the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.
