He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John H. Toney and Frances Fillinger Toney; his wife Wilma J. Hayden; his children, Diane Paul (Chris) of Smyrna, TN and Mark Toney (Danny Hartigan) of York, ME; his daughter-in-law LuAnn Wiseman (Toney); his grandchildren, Lesley Hutchison (Thomas) of Buffalo, WV, Caleb Paul (Caitlin) of Murfreesboro, TN and Hannah Booth (Justin) of Morgantown, WV; his son John L. "J. L." Toney III (Monty); and his sister Ellen Toney-Hey. He was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
