He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Mecklenburg and Michael Earl Walters Sr.; his wife Christina Lynne Nicklas; his children, Cory Walters (Stephanie) and Koltyn Walters of Mount Juliet; his brother Jim Walters (Bonnie) of Cody, Wyoming; his children, Lauren Fleming (Jason) of Manchester and Di Lani Cassity (Jose Gonzales) of Smyrna; and his pet Cain. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren.
