She was predeceased by: her parents, Arliss Leone Johnston (Beacock) and Walter Scott Johnston. She is survived by: her daughter Arliss Olivia Couch; her granddaughter Azra Rose Couch; her sisters, Joni Johnston and Bobbi Harris; and her nieces, Candell Rainey and Cara Chae.

She made it a priority to donate to animal shelters and domestic violence programs.
