She is survived by: her mother Hattie Smoot Sullins Merritt; her daughter Rita Dilman; her granddaughters, Jenny Morgan (William) and Gina Averitt (Chris Pendergrast); her great grandchildren, Jason "J. W." Underwood (Heather), Justine Underwood, Cameron McKinney, Brayden Morgan, Kingston Woods, Gianna Woods and Izzy Haynes; her great great grandchildren, Jaelynn Underwood, Channing Underwood, James McKinney and Wyatt Benjamin; her sister Shirley McGowen (Evon); her niece Debra Sullivan; and her nephew Eddie Worley. She is also survived by cats, Mama.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodfin Chapel (203 N Lowry St, Smyrna, TN 37167). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
