We announce the death of Roy Allen (Smyrna, Tennessee), who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 85. Roy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Bean and Daniel Allen; his daughter Lisa Higginbotham; and his siblings, Lela, Martha, Aron, Kenneth, James, Ezmar, Gene, Olin, Joyce and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Shea; his son-in-law Lynn Higginbotham (Debra); his granddaughters, Morgan Bryant (Zach), Holly Hester (Joey) and Courtney Wall (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Jonah Bryant, Emma Kate Hester, Paxton and Saylor Wall. He is also survived by nephews and siblings-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodfin Funeral Chapels- Smyrna (203 N Lowry St, Smyrna, TN 37167). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Mapleview Cemetery (411 Maple St, Smyrna, TN 37167).
