She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McKinley Fields and Violet Miller Fields; her husband James Rodney Sykes; and her siblings, William Fields, John Fields, Tobe Fields, Hoyt Fields, Ted Fields, Sue Lewis, Faye Freeman and Jean Fields.
She is survived by: her children, Casie Higginbotham (Michael) of Smyrna, TN and Jamie Hiers (Robert) of Kingston, TN; her grandchildren, Violet, Amos Higginbotham, Isaiah, Leah, Abbie Bagwell, Jeremiah and Jace Hiers; her sister Jane Hoover (Buddy); and her sister-in-law Carrie Sykes.
