It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Mears of Smyrna, Tennessee, born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Howard "Pete" Mears; his stepfather Lee Nave; and his sister Joan Steagall. He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his sons, Chris Mears (Lacresha) and Jeremy Mears (Mariah); his grandchildren, Camden, Anniston, Ava and Ashlynn; his siblings, Leslie Pruitt (Carol), June Melton (George), Alice Faye (Jack Worley), Enola Gore (Gene) and Charlet Chapman (Jimmy); and his brother-in-law Ricky O'Neal (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
