He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard and Mary Edith Stone Spurlock; and his siblings, Frances Morphew of Cincinnati, Bobby Spurlock of Cookeville and Jim Spurlock of Chattanooga, Tennessee..
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Walker Spurlock; his daughter Angie; his son-in-law Tony Tabb; his grandchildren, William Martin (Kassie), Wyatt Martin and Madison Martin; and his brother Mike Spurlock (Linda).
