She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Carpenter; her daughter Rhonda Carpenter; and her parents, Roe Singleton and Lona Singleton. She is survived by: her sons, Earl (Donna Carpenter) and Ellis (Debbie Carpenter); her great grandchild Cora Cox; her niece Dorthy Gregory of Sneedville; and her close friends, Linda Carpenter and Maxine Hodge.
