She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Buddy" Hood and Reba Matherly Hood; her husband Carl Smith; and her brother James Albert Hood. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Smith, Stephen Smith, Kim Walker (Darvin Wilkey) and Kristie Wallin (Danny); her grandchildren, Jessica Wehe (Shaun), Morgan Gonzales (Jeremy Poole), Shelby Massey (Payton), Cody Walker (Briana Thacker), Dennis Rowe (Jenny), Emily Wilkey, Tiffany Wilkey and Kenneth McNeal (Tara); her great grandchildren, Cameron, Logan, Maddox, Amelia, Mollie, Remi, Raider, Reilly, Emory, Holly, Alli and Jaxson; and her grandson Hank. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or to Smyrna Baptist Church.
