He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Gilbert and Dotty Gilbert; and his close friend Steve Gaither. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Gilbert; his son C. J. Gilbert (Camaron); his stepchildren, Mitch Reburn (Michelle), Jaclyn Bates (Jeremy), Brandy MacFie (Jason), Crystal Crittenden (Mike) and Megan Leamon; his sister Dee Dee Edgemon (Scotty); his grandchildren, Lorelai Gilbert, Mason Reburn, Lily Westerwal, Carter Crittenden, Madison MacFie and Sebastian MacFie; his nephew Hunter Edgemon (Lauren); his niece Haven Edgemon; and his great-nieces, Scottie and Sutton Edgemon.
