He is survived by: his wife Hallie Ruth Nelson; his son Danny Lee Nelson Jr.; and his grandchildren, Chase Nelson (Makyla), Dalton Nelson, Noah Jaxx Nelson and Wren Lee Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
