It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Freida Whitaker of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Herschel B. Rogers and Ruby Bowers Rogers. She is survived by : her husband Garry L. Whitaker, Sr.; her children, Garry L. Whitaker, Jr. (Vicky) and Angela Cooke (Jay); her siblings, Betty Hodges, Bill Rogers (Teresa), Lonnie Rogers (Lisa) and Roy Rogers; her grandchildren, Chase Braswell, Andrea Johnson (Jerome), Hannah Cooke, Jonathon Cooke, Jayce Whitaker and Callie-Ann Cooke; her great grandchild Ariah Johnson; and her pet Maggie-Jo. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Memorial contributions can be made to Rechoboth Baptist Church or the Chattanooga Downs Syndrome Society.
