She was predeceased by: her brother Stanley Tomlin. She is survived by: her brother Dwight; her husband John H. Oliver; her children, Doug Oliver (Linda) and Sheila King (Donnie); her brother Bill Tomlin (Berta); and her sister-in-law Shirley Tomlin. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

“In loving memory of Genell Oliver, I have searched for Gennell for several years. Lost contact several years ago. I am truly sorry we could not connect before she passed. She was a good friend when we worked for TVA.. I spent a lot of time on the houseboat with Henry, Gennell, Gene Fraley and myself. And have wonderful memories of doing so. We would get inner tubes, float n the lake and talk,talk, and more talk. I am terribly sorry for your loss. She will be missed by a lot f people.”
