It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harland James Sutherland Jr. of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland Sutherland and Bessie Smith Sutherland; and his siblings, Baby Mary, Thelma Lucille Petty, Linda Levi and Bill Sutherland.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Hixson Sutherland of Dayton, Tennessee.; his sons, Rocky (Tammy) and Lance Sutherland; his grandsons, Logan (Erica), Harley and Riley Sutherland; his great grandchildren, Luke Emery and Lenna Jean Sutherland; and his sisters, Nelda Sue Petty and Shirley Harvey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
