He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill Varner and Helen Varner. He is survived by: his wife Betty Wright Varner; his stepchildren, Jamie O'Daniel, Bobby Wright (Jody) and Courtney Wright (Christina); his stepgrandchildren, Chasity Rehagen (Justin), Tyler Todd, Wyatt O'Daniel, Hailey Wright, Destiny Barnes (Jordan) and Lainey Cox; and his cousin Jane Cook. He is also survived by four step-great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Soddy Church of Christ (11665 Hixson Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
